Dear Parents,
The school year is coming to an end and this is the last monthly schedule for you. Jennifer and I have enjoyed having all of you and your precious children as part of our classroom community– some of you for 3 years!
We will be missing our Kindergartners who are moving up to the Elementary grade. We are very proud of each one of them and are confident that they will do well in their next chapter of schooling. Our 3’s and 4’s are doing well, showing great progress as well.
May Updates:
May 9 – Peace Ceremony /Kindergarten Mother’s Tea
May 21 – Kindergarten Graduation
May 23 – Preschool Field Day
May 24 – Last Day of School – Early Dismissal
Kindergarten Mothers Tea – Parents of Kindergarten students should have received an invitation by now to be at school on May 9th at 12:15. Please make sure you make arrangements to attend the event as the students themselves host it.
Kindergarten Graduation – The Graduation program starts at 6:30 in the Gym. Please make sure your child is at school by 6:15, dressed in comfortable clothes and shoes. You are welcome to bring friends and family to attend this event. Classroom parents are more than welcome to attend the program, but keep in mind that only the Kindergarten students will be performing and having the graduation ceremony.
Field Day – Preschool Field Day Several activities have been planned for the day (Water slides/Hula Hoops/Jump Rope/ Face Painting/ Sidewalk Chalk/ Water Balloons/ Bubbles/ Ice cream truck/Pizza.
Each classroom is also providing snack (3 Watermelon/ 3 boxes of water/ 3 large Goldfish boxes.
Preschool is collecting $5 to cover the cost of Pizza and Ice cream.
Please send change of clothes/towel on this day. We will not be able to reschedule the field day but we will still have Pizza/Ice cream truck come to us (do not send lunch on this day).
Last Day of School – It is an Early Dismissal – 1:00

Neighborhood Food Drive
The school is collecting food supplies to help aid the pantry at Oak Mountain Missions. Each classroom has been assigned a specific item to donate.
Our class is collecting ‘Canned Vegetables’. So the next time you are shopping for groceries – keep Oak Mountain Missions in your mind!

February 15 - Peace Ceremony at 9:00 am presented by Preschool Children in the school Gym
February 18 - President’s Day – School in session (make up day)
In the past few weeks, many students have been out with flu symptoms and high fever. Please keep your child at home if they show any symptoms.
Also, time to register for summer camp – deadline is March 15. Please note that space is limited and all children will need a car seat to go on field trips. Children will take field trips every Friday.
Parent Night
Parent Night was a huge success! Thank you to all of you for joining us on this evening. It was nice to talk to all the parents and fun to see all the children excited to share their learning and materials with dad-mom. May be we should have more nights as such:)
